Did you know that today is national tell a fairy tale day? In order to celebrate at preschool, I thought it would be a great idea to read a few fairy tales to the preschoolers and let them make their own stories! I was actually surprised by how interested in this activity all the kids were (even the boys)! After I read two books to the children, I asked them what they thought fairy tales needed? What kind of people, animals and houses were in these stories? If you look at the picture of our board where I wrote all their answers; you'll see we have a few interesting things. Once the preschoolers finished writing their own stories, they got to describe their pictures and "read" their stories to the class. It was surely a magical day here at school!!
