Art Teacher Visitor

Today we had the fortune of having a very special visitor come to our classroom. Her name is Kathy and she focuses in child art education. Se will be volunteering in our classroom once a week in the upcoming future! Today was her first time sharing her knowledge and passion for art. We all learned about a new artist called Richard Jesse Watson and the art lesson revolved our ongoing project striving to be a "Steward of the Natural World." We used recyclable materials and nick knacks to create wonderful sculptures. Check out some of them bellow and in our art display section of the classroom.  

Some of the Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines targeted include: 

• Art: the use of a range of media and materials to created drawings, pictures, or other objects. 
• Persistence and Attentiveness: The ability to begin and finish activities with persistence and attention.
