By Miss Kerri Ann We put the bikes away and broke out the skis and sleds today. It's hard to believe that winter is already here! Here are some pictures of Jada and Daniel skiing and Peter and Georgia sledding. I have applied for a grant to buy cross country skis for all of the kids to use and if we receive the funds, we will be skiing on the groomed trail next to the Charter School as part of Miss Kathy's PE program. I should know about these funds in the next few weeks and will let you know! Earlier in the day, Daniel, Jada, Peter, Georgia and I practiced using compliments. First, I asked them to tell me what a compliment is. Here is what they said: Jada: "You put compost in to snow in it." Daniel: "A worm stuck out of an apple." Georgia: "When you put snow out and you put it in" Peter: "If snow falls in a tree and someone throws it on Patrick and SpongeBob." I think it's safe to say that this was a new word for them and that snow is on the mind. It was so fun to see thier faces light up when their friends said nice things about them!
