Buddy Reading

Today was preschool, we did something we haven't done for a long time. We went over to the charter school for "Buddy Reading" time! I learned this is a program created by Miss Barb, but fell to the way side after she left the preschool. When I heard about the buddy reading program, I instantly wanted to start it again. It's so important for children to socialize with children of their own age, but also with children of different ages. The preschoolers really loved picking their buddy to read with and reading along with them! Not only did the 3rd and 4th graders read to them, but they also stopped to ask the preschoolers questions about the books. Such a great learning experience for both age groups! We can't wait until next Wednesday when we get to go back!!
