By Miss Michelle Chalk it up to another great day at preschool!! I asked the children today, "How can we use chalk?" Most of the kids replied, "on paper and sidewalks." Well, I wanted to show them a new way to use chalk so we made a version of spray chalk. We used spray bottles, flour, food coloring and water. It was really easy to make and the preschoolers had so much fun with this activity!! For any parent who wants to try this at home, it's just an empty spray bottle, add 1 tablespoon of flour, 10 drops of food coloring and then warm water. Not only did we have a great time using the spray bottles, but we also got sidewalk chalk out and colored on everything!! I didn't limit where the kids would draw because I wanted to see where and why they chose to color. We also made an "our families" mural by the front door of the preschool for everyone to see! Spring is almost here and I can't wait to do more outdoor activities with the preschoolers. Have a great weekend everybody!
