Emergent Cirriculum at work!

Delia brought racoon and tiger figures into school today to share with her friends.  The figures inspired a conversation about where these animals live.  Peter insisted that Tigers live in zoos.  Daniel, Jada and Delia decided to paint pictures of the animals and where they live.  Here's part of the conversation they had while painting:
Dan: I'm making a circus for the lion"
Delia: "I'm making the tiger's paws pretty."
Jada: "I'm making a trailer."
Delia: "For the animals?"
Jada: "Yeah."
Dan: This is a tractor for the lions"

Later on today, Peter's mom will be bringing by a new pet for our classroom.  I'll post some pictures tomorrow!
