By Miss Kerri Ann Our dramatic play and block areas are the two most popular spaces in our preschool. Miss Christa and I wondered how we could bring the two together. Today we took pictures of our preschoolers and attached them to blocks in the block area. We were wondering how the children would use them and what creativity images of themselves would inspire. The preschoolers were very interested in the project. They posed for the pictures. Some of them did tricks like jumping or twirling and asked me to capture their moves. Once I printed the pictures, they helped me to attach them to the blocks. After that, they constructed a swimming pool and took turns diving their block people off of the diving board. We will continue this activity throughout the next few weeks to see where it goes. Check out this slideshow of our activity:
