By: Miss Christa Today we had some special visitors to the charter school and preschool community, Fire Chief Mike and Assistant Fire Chief Scott from the North Routt Fire Department. Before we went to explore the fire truck and ambulance we talked as a group about what kind of things are on fire trucks and what to look for. Mr. Scott dressed up in his fire suit to show us how the firefighters may look when they are trying to put out a fire, this was great for the kids to see who to look for if they should need to be saved, and not to be afraid when they see them. The part of the fire truck that caught their attention the most was the instrument panel that has all of the levers, knobs, and "clocks" (pressure gauges) on it. it was a neat experience for them.
