First tracks

Not much snow yet but our preschoolers are getting first tracks like it's getting out of style! We are practicing skiing without poles at first to really work on our balance and feel comfortable on skis before we add some difficulty later in the winter by adding on the poles (which takes a lot of additional coordination.) 

Some of the Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines targeted include: 

• Gross Motor Skills: The control of large muscles for movement, navigation, and balance. 
• Self-Concept and Self-Efficacy: The perception that one is capable of successfully making decisions, accomplishing tasks, and meeting goals.
