Happy Thursday NRP family and friends! Today the kiddos and I ventured up to Steamboat Lake hoping to get some quality swimming time in before the storm hit!! Thankfully we had enough time to play around and get really drenched, even though it was a bit windy. Everyone had fun at the beach even though Miss Michelle forgot all of our beach toys at school. We got very creative, using our hands to mold sand castles and dig holes for water. Everybody got very dirty, but that's how we know we had a great time! Right when we arrived back at school, the storm hit and it started to rain. Miss Nicole and I then taught the kids how to count between each lightening and thunder to determine how many miles away the storm is! Mostly they just really loved to hide from the scary thunder :) I wish everyone a fun and safe weekend! I'll see you back here on Monday!
