Wind & ice!

We have been exploring wind these past few days.  Today we held balloon races with wind blown through straws.  We've Alison been experimenting with our wind tunnel.  It's fun ton slant the tunnel and shoot goals!  We also leArned that weak wind allows balloons to float and dance just above the tunnel.  Another ongoing activity this week is our ice fishing game.  Using magnets, the students can fish for paper clipped fish.  The fish are all different colors and have letters on them so we are building literacy and classification skills while playing.
