As a registered 501c (3) non-profit organization, North Routt Preschool relies on the support of grants and donations to provide the best possible early childhood experience for our children. We are grateful to receive financial support for our operating costs, wellness benefits, projects and program development, support for which comes from the generous support from agency partnerships, private foundations and personal contributions. We recognize and underline our gratitude to our supporters below.
Current and Past grant RECEIVED
In 2019 we received a grant to inprove learning environments. This included a large remodel for the preschoolers, creating on large "Great Room" for learning with new paint, flooring, and cubbies. Preschool room us UNDER CONSTRUCTION and is expected to be completed April 2020! This grant also included funds for a 120'x30' outdoor learning space for preschool and toddlers, including native grass, trees and shrubs; a sensory grass maze, reading nook, car track, native flowers, log balance course and more. Construction will begin soon and is expected to be done May 2020!
In 2019 North Routt Preschool was proud to be an ECHO pilot oudoor learning site. The ECHO foundation provided us with site visits and a beautiful site plan for a new, natural outdoor learning space for both toddlers and preschoolers. They provided funds for a portion of the new preschool rock climbing structure installed in 2019. They new outdoor learning space in UNDER CONSTRUCTION and expected to be completed May 2020!
The Stranahan Foundation and Entelco Foundation have been tremendous supporters of our success, year after year. Their generous support has provided us with the opportunity to appropriately compensate teachers and provide individual professional development plans to each teacher, as well as attend conferences as a group.
North Routt Preschool was recipient of a 2018-2019 Quality Improvement Grant! This grant provided new flooring in our Toddler Classroom
North Routt Preschool is also a recipient of a 2018 Qualistar Healthy Beginnings, Active Futures grant! This grant enabled us to expand and and replace our outdoor learning and play environment with a new 32' x 25' pipe-fence.
North Routt Preschool is proud recipient of 2018 grants from Ski Corp. Charitable Fund and the Education Field of Interest Endowment at YVCF. These funds went to a portion of the purchase and installation of our new climbing structure for our preschool playground.
We are grateful to have received a 2018 Alpine Bank grant. This grant will support the renovation of our Preschool classroom, where we are opening up the classroom to allow for more light, open space, and moveable learning areas.
We are grateful to have received a 2018 Sotheby's Community Grant. This grant will supported the purchase and installation of a water chlorination system for our school, providing our children with safe and clean water as our enrollment numbers grow!
Routt County United Way enables us to provide tuition assistance to nearly half of our families.
Routt County Human Resources Coalition enables us to provide tuition assistance to nearly half of our families.
Partnerships
First Impressions of Routt County
North Routt Preschool participates in this agency's best practices program in order to provide a quality early education experience for its students. Through First Impressions, NRP is able to provide professional development scholarships to its staff, tuition assistance to its families and administration assistance to its Director. Funders of the programs offered through this agency include the Buell Foundation, Routt County United Way and the Routt County Human Resources Coalition. North Routt Community Charter School (NRCCS)
Located right next door to the Preschool, NRCCS is a large part of our educational community. Staff at both schools share ideas and resources to ensure a smooth transition from preschool into kindergarten. Parents from both schools work together on fundraising and staff support through the School Support Team (SST). Students participate in joint programs such as PE with the fifth and sixth graders and library story time with the kindergarteners. The Reggios Emilia philosophy used at the North Routt Preschool complements the Expeditionary Learning Program used at the Charter School. More than 90% of North Routt Preschool graduates go on to attend North Routt Community Charter School. For more information about NRCCS go to www.northroutt.com .
