Our staff
Our highly qualified teachers know that young children learn through their relationships and through their experiences. For this reason, our teachers create a warm and nurturing learning environment in both our indoor and outdoor classrooms, and strive to cultivate each child's sense of wonder, curiosity and capacity.
LENNAE JENKINS
Preschool Director

Hi Crew! I'm so excited for another year in North Routt. I joined NRP in fall 2019. With plenty of ECE and special education background, I bring leadership and fresh ideas to NRCCS ECC. I have a bachelor's degree and CO teaching license in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree and CO teaching license in Early Childhood Special education.
I grew up in Routt county and travelled the world since high school graduation, living in Oregon, Australia, Zambia, and Switzerland. I returned 11 years ago to settle down and enjoy my passion for the outdoors...skiing, rafting, camping, hiking and more.
My husband and I just took on home ownership in Steamboat with our puppy Mocha. We love to cook, camp, raft, ski, and hopefully get to a beach soon!

Tammy BOnney
Lead PreK teacher

My name is Tammy Bonney. I am your new PreK teacher. My husband, Mike, and I just moved here to N. Routt. I am so excited to put my skills and knowledge to use and work with not only with your children, but your entire community. My life experience, career, and education have given me insight into a world I am passionate about 'Early Childhood Education' which has lead me here to you.
My husband and I together have raised a beautiful 20 year old daughter who is currently attending the University of Idaho. While we lived in Moscow, ID, I was awarded a Bachelors of Science in Early Child Development and Family Relations with a minor in business all with honors. My husband and I owned and operated a successful Montessori school of 11 years, ran an outdoor summer camp program, and taught skiing at Sun Valley. The last five years I've had the distinct pleasure of working in the Moscow School District with Special Ed students where I learned that life should be looked at through multiple lenses.
Prior to Idaho, we lived in Gig Harbor here I had finished a 15 year career as a financial accountant for Weyerhaeuser Aviation, as well as moonlighted on the weekends at Crystal Mt Ski resort as a lift op, Wild Water River Tours as a river guide, and finished my Associates Degree and a Montessori certified program. Yes, I love to do it all.
My love of adventure started in California, specifically Wine Country, where I was born and raised. I come from a hard working family who takes pride in both their work and their play. I love taking on new and exciting challenges and look forward to my future here at N Routt Community Charter School.

Courtney Summers
Lead Preschool teacher

Hi. I’m Courtney. I’m originally from Maine. I moved to Routt County in 2010 after graduating from Proctor Academy. Enjoying the outdoors has always been a passion of mine. In my free time I love to hike, ski, fish, and hang out with my dogs. I am excited to be part of the NRCCS Community. I’m excited for preschool, working with children and creating experiences for my students to explore and be curious about their environment. I look forward to a fun, creative, and successful school year.
Willow Fitzgerald
LEad toddler teacher

Hi, I'm Willow! As an early childhood teacher, artist, and outdoorswoman, I take learning seriously, exploring diverse learning styles and bringing a passion for play into the classroom. I graduated from Steamboat Mountain School and then Bard College, where I studied humanities and honed a passion for writing. Since then I have spent time in a handful of unique preschools and summer camps emphasising outdoor education, a love of learning, and creative play with young children. I have taught music and art classes for ages as young as infants and have led academic classes with a wide view of learning needs. I am a multi-instrumentalist and a songwriter and happily share my love of music with kids. As a child of the Yampa Valley I am an avid skier and hiker (and ski-hiker) and have a deep love for the North Routt wilderness. My and my Yampa Valley husband have forever dreamed of a life in Clark, they are ecstatic and humbled to join the community.
