Happy friday everyone today has been a little unusual. Yesterday and today we have had two consultants from the Boulder Journey School evaluate and then help us repurpose our classrooms. The Boulder Journey School is a Reggio Emilia Based School that serves the Boulder area, we have had the opportunity to spend time in their school and pick some brains but having these two wonderful ladies come into our school was simply amazing. I have not changed the toddler room very much mainly because it was rearranged just a short while ago however we have changed a lot of the manipulates to more natural. My hope for this is to spark their imagination and allow them to create from unthought of objects. This has been and will always be a ongoing chance but I am excited to see how excited one little one was to see rocks inside the classroom. Well that is a little hint but i can not wait for you all to see the changes. Have a wonderful Weekend!! By: Miss Christa Todays task was to share and take turns, inside we took turns feeling a fuzzy book. Outside they came up with a new way to hug, its called the Hug Boom they are giving good hugs then falling down. Check out the video in the end they gave each other real hugs so no one is confused on how hug each other. Love love love By: Miss Christa Excited to share this video of Cooper and Charlotte reaching far under the slide for the good sand!! By: Miss Christa WELCOME BACK!!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July Weekend I myself had a lot of fun with family and friends but it feels good to be back. Today in the Toddler Room we spent time creating Caves / Tents for everyone to play in. The tent on the play structure was the coolest by far and everyone By: Miss Christa Today is Water Day!! This morning was a warm one we were able to play with our playground toys for a while then we jumped into the water play! We all were a little heasatent at first but then everyone started enjoying the cool drops of water falling on our head. Yea miss Christa got a little wet too. By : Miss Christa Today was so much fun we played with this we played with that however what sparked interest the most were the large basketballs we borrowed from the preschoolers. The little ones rolled on them, pushed them around, but their favorite thing to with them was to sit on them!!! Take a look. By: Miss Christa Happy Tuesday, today was a lot of fun because it is so nice outside I thought we could do our art project outdoors. This project was a lot of fun, a little Red< White, and Blue with a little Purple too! Next everyone decided to move the large rocks around boy are these little ones strong, with some help with the big ones all of the rocks were in a large pile. As an intermission they decided to jump off of the largest rock we have, and run away!! Then we cleaned it all up! |
