Welcome to Thursday! Today has been a very hot day. while playing in the sand I noticed a pair of shoes that did not have feet in them then once I said something about it everyones shoes cane off even mine. Walking in sand is a very different feeling with bare feet. I like that they are willing to try new things> By: Miss Christa Hi there today's outside time was filled with laughter as we watched a butterfly fly around our playground. It almost landed on us a few times then decided to take a rest on the preschool side so we could watch it flap it's wings a bit. By: Miss Christa
Hello there and happy Tuesday to all, today we were very happy to go play outside. First we planted a few more seeds in our garden, then we played in the sand, and on the bike path. By: Miss Christa What a morning we had and what great explorers we have here at the school. today we went over to the Charter School back yard to build forts and see what we could find. along the way we found tall tall grass, lots of beautiful flowers, many sticks (some too big to carry), and even caterpillars!! Oh and baby grasshoppers too!!! We learned so much from mother nature today, for example we were watching a large caterpillar for a while then it stopped moving, we talked and thought that it stopped moving because it was afraid that we were predators wanting to eat it and if it didn't move it may not be so appealing to eat!! We also learned that grasshoppers are sneaky insects and are hard to catch, but with perseverance they were able to catch a few. Kerri Ann and Myself also took a look at the some of the local bushes to check for berries, we have a few ideas for food projects this fall that will include these yummy berries I can't wait till they are ready to eat!! Happy happy Friday!! Today we had a impromptu water day, the temperature is in the 70's and the wind is not blowing much so it is a great day to play! Cooper and Nicolas did not get very wet but Sofia and Jayla did. It was really nice to get some warm sun on our bodies!! Check out some pictures and a video of the fun. By: Miss Christa Welcome to Thursday!! I was looking through our photos from over the past 6 months and I thought I would take some time to share some of them with everyone. So many memories with these little ones and how they have changed so much thank you again for sharing them with me I feel blessed to have everyone of them in my class. Heres to another 6 months of fun learning! By: Miss Christa Happy Wednesday everyone!! Today we had a lot of energy outside which made it difficult to water the gardens! I think they all got a little wet from trying to play in the water. Thankfully I was able to get it all done pretty fast. Instead of playing in water everyone helped me rake rocks. I have noticed that the middle if our rock area had more dirt then rocks so with some help we are going to try and remove some of the dirt, or at least smooth it out, then rake the rocks back to the middle. I wasn't able to get pictures of when we started but everyone was helping. Alden was putting then in a blue shovel and moving them to the sides. Nicolas was using a little black rake to move them aside while Cooper and Charlotte were using small hand shovels. They were interested for a while and then went on their ways. By: Miss Christa Today was a sad day because mostl of our veggies that were starting to grow in our garden were eaten by a gofer! Cooper and Charlotte helped me plant more seeds in hope that we will still have enough time to get a good crop on some! Sorry I was not able to get any pictures this morning. By: Miss Christa Busy Day here at the school, first off we spent some fun times in the toddler room with the big kids, building and wrecking. I had a lot of fun hanging out with my man Cooper, we were able to tag along with the preschoolers and summer campers when they went to the Clark Store to get ice-cream. Before we were able to go to the store we had to fix Miss Christa Jogger stroller because the tires were flat, Cooper was a big help!! Here are some wonderful pictures of our play!! |
