Hi there and happy Thursday to everyone, I’m not sure if many of you have had a chance to read my note on the clipboard from the other day, so I would like to touch base with you all about what our little ones are interested in exploring right now. As some of you know we have a bird feeder outside our window and the children are having a ton of fun watching the birds fly up, eat, and fly away (mostly when we make loud noise or fast motions). I would like to focus on this topic mainly because it has been a huge interest of theirs for a few weeks now and I see a lot of opportunities to expand on this topic. Over time I will like to talk about key bird features like what they eat, what their eggs look like, where they live, what kind of birds we see, etc. I would like to ask for your help, we have a limited amount of materials, manipulative objects, and books about birds, if you may have items you would like to donate or allow us borrow while we learn about birds, it would be greatly appreciated. Each feature may last a week but some may go on for months it all depends on how long the children are interested in them for. I have noticed that some of the projects that the Boulder Journey School children have done seem to do come around in circles so do not be surprised to see a feature arise later in our exploration, like I said earlier it is all up the children and what they show interest in.
Thank you for your help and support Miss Christa
