Today the Halloween/Fall fun continued. As a classroom, we cracked open a pumpkin and dug out all the little seeds. The Pumpkin was "Slimy" and "Cold" and "Wet". We practiced moving our small muscles and using our fine motor skills as we explored the orange pumpkin. We used more than just our senses to explore this pumpkin, we used spoons to help us manipulate those teeny little seeds out of the slimy flesh of the pumpkin. According to Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines, we illustrated and practiced our ability to "Hold small objects in one hand and sometimes use both hands together to manipulate objects". It was quite the task but we had such an awesome time!
