What does your alone space look like? Today we asked the preschoolers what their own private spaces to be alone would look like. We got a lot of creative answers. For example, Daniel said "Mine would be like a rocket ship!" So Daniel decided to build a model version of his rocket ship alone space using Legos. We also used paper and colored pencils to draw what our own private space would look like and what we'd want to have in there. While in the kitchen area, Delia, Jada and Peter made me dinner. They worked together to make cookie soup! When asked what would be a healthier choice, Delia suggested chili. It was a lot of fun today at preschool!!

By: Miss Michelle Today at school we were very busy! First, I made sure to talk with the other preschool students about our new Share Box. The kids that already knew about it, loved answering questions. Next, we decided to build a fort/house using blocks and tubes. I'm always happy to see the children working so well together! Miss Kerri Ann taught us a song on the children's piano we keep in the classroom! She also played songs and we tried to guess what she was playing. It was a lot of fun! While playing outside we made snow castles and pretend pizzas, yum! We were very busy today in the preschool classroom! By: Miss Michelle
Happy Friday everyone! Today at school, Daniel, Cooper and I really enjoyed playing out in the snow. There is so much snow on our playground that we had to dig new paths, but it was a lot of fun! Daniel and Cooper decided to play a new game today. I would hide an object somewhere in the classroom and they would work together to find it. Daniel really had fun helping Cooper find it. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Stay safe. By: Miss Michelle
Today the preschoolers participated in making a Share Box. They loved the idea of bringing toys from home and putting them in this box to share with their friends. It worked very well!! Not only did they put toys in it from home, but they also found items around the school to put in there. The Share Box was an excellent tool that helped show the preschoolers how much fun it is to share things with our friends! By Miss Kerri Ann Today we decided to try some fort building with the Preschoolers. It went great! I love to hear how well these kids communicate and collaborate with each other. I will have to tape record the conversation during one of these group acitvities to share with you all. It is such a pleasure to hear the respect that they show to one another. I know this is a reflection of the amazing community we live in and the amazing parents that we work with. Keep up the good work! By Miss Kerri Ann Today was an exciting day at the Preschool. Not only did we welcome new toddler students, we also welcomed Miss Michelle as our new preschool teacher! Miss Michelle comes to us from Denver but she is originally from Iowa. While in Denver, she worked at a child care center as an infant teacher. She now lives in Hahn's Peak and is looking forward to becoming a part of the North Routt community. The preschoolers loved sharing their "AllAbout Me" folders with Michelle. We also tried out our new cross country skis in the playground and had a cowboy dance party indoors. Here are a few pictures from our day: By Miss Kerri Ann We took advantage of having some older Charter School students in the Preschool today. We built forts with a crnium kit tht we have. The older students are more capable of working in group, so it went very well with this group. I'll post some pictures later. Finally got around to posting pictures. Here they are! |
