It has been a busy few weeks, so we have a lot to share! The kiddos have really enjoyed themselves this summer and I have had a blast as well! I will be a little sad to say goodbye to summer and to some of our older kiddos next week!
Recently, we enjoyed the last Strings concert of summer time, which was an amazing African drum group, Fara Tolno and Kissidugu. The kids danced and danced and we had so much fun! We also got the greenhouse mostly finished and were able to plant spinach, carrots, lettuce and kale seeds in pots. We also brought in some established tomatoes, mint, stevia and basil! Feel free to check it out when you're here! We have visited Steamboat Lake State Park TWICE. Once for the naturalist program where we learned all about seeds and got to go on our very own seed hunt hike! We visited it again last Thursday for a morning of bike riding by the boat ramp. The bikes are definitely the favorite thing of summer! This week we also biked around the Charter School and the Clark Store Trail. We also built and planted some of our greenhouse, worked in the garden and taste tested yummy veggies. We played in the sprinklers, made some costumes and played with giant tangrams. We hiked to the dam at Pearl Lake, hiked at Steamboat Lake and enjoyed many picnics! We have had a pretty great summer, and the past few weeks have been so much fun! Please take a moment to check out all of our fun photos below!
