On Friday, some students and Ms. Kerri Ann explored the Greenhouse and found all kinds of fresh produce to harvest and enjoy during snack time. All that hard work working in the greenhouse has paid off. 

Some of the Colorado Early Learning and Development Guidelines targeted on this ongoing investigation include:

• People and the Environment: The understanding of people and the environment in which they live.
• Conceptual Knowledge of the Natural and Physical World: The acquisition of concepts and facts related to the natural and physical world and the understanding of naturally occurring relationships. 

The beginning of the school year has been wonderfully busy; full of fun, learning and enriching experiences. The preschoolers have really dived into learning the letters of their name and even their middle and last name! The activity above is one of the many that includes such skill practice in a very engaging and simple way. This game is called "name puzzles." Each child, depending on their level of letter recognition and spatial awareness, gets a puzzle with the letters of their name and even last name, and it is their job to figure it out and put the letters in order to eventually read their name. What a fun way to practice letters, collaborate with teachers and students while building puzzles simultaneously!

• Alphabet knowledge: the names and sounds associated with each letter. 
• Reasoning and Problem Solving: The ability to recognize, understand, and analyze a problem and draw on knowledge and experience to seek solutions to a problem.
