"In the past couple of weeks, there have been several changes to our playground. Among those changes, we have new landscaping and a sensory pool within our sand box! The kids have been really excited about the new stimuli...but to introduce such different and fun environments, Ms. McMuffin (Ms. Mandi dressed up) came to be our "playground tour guide" and taught us how to play appropriately in our new environment. What a fortune to be able to attend such great performances during the month of July! Our las Strings Music Festival show of the summer was called "We're Not Clowns." Not only were they great jugglers and comedians, but they happened to show us around backstage and upstage! One of the performers is also a part of our NRP community and his son was in the audience watching proudly. A wonderful closure to a great summer of music, dance, comedy and education. Thanks Megan and the Steamboat Lake Naturalist Program for coming to our school and sharing some biology knowledge with us. We learned about different kinds of insects and arachnids. We also got to catch insects and arachnids and observe them more carefully before releasing them back to their home. Happy 4th of July from the preschool classroom! We celebrated by decorating our bikes with red, white and blue flare and doing a parade out side the playground on the round about. The kids loved getting in a festive mood and showing of their decorated bikes to some of the parents who came to observe our parade. |
