This week has been really fun! Besides the waste deep powder outside, the class excitement has taken off in regards to our early literacy projects! We have been playing alphabet bingo, molding letters out of play dough and tracing letters in shaving cream to name a few things!
We also noticed that our fish tank water garden plants started growing over the weekend and we have been measuring them. This kiddos are using a ruler to guesstimate the height of the wheat grass and then we measure it and graph it.They have been excited to see the progress, in just three days it went from 1" to almost 6"! We also got a hamster this week, by popular vote, we have named him "Cow". He is pretty cute and the class has been excellent at quietly helping me introduce him to everyone. They have been feeding and watering him and talking to him a lot so that "he can be our friend." Check out some photos below!

This week we had a lot of fun! We set up our new fish tank, which doubles as a garden! We are growing radish sprouts and wheatgrass! Standby for updates on that. We played a lot of great alphabet games this week including "quirt the letter." We also invented a new type of bowling game! The kids really love tallying their bowls and counting who has the most! I am really proud of each and every child for there interest and diligence in working on letters and writing their names this week! We really had a blast learning. Check out some pictures below. |
