Hello!
The class has really enjoyed getting dressed up every day and sharing costumes! This week, we played with spiders and bats at the light table and with the projector, it was a huge hit! Today, we voted on which one we like best, bats won! We studied a little bit about skeletons and then we traced Miss Kerri Ann and painted her skeleton in, we have also been working with some skeleton coloring pages! Miss Kathy came and worked with the class on throwing and catching, kicking and hitting (with a paddle) various halloween props! Needless to say, there was a lot of commotion when we got to play hockey with rubber hands!! Today, we had P.E. with our NRCCS peers! We also checked the mail and found a letter from one of our old classmates, so everyone decided to write back to him. It has been wonderful week and are very excited to see the class growing and learning together!

This week, we have had a lot of fun playing with fall scented playdough, playing fall (and Halloween) P.E. games with Miss Kathy and playing in the leaves! We are spending a lot of time singing halloween rhyming songs and working on letters and numbers whenever we can. We count at the light table, we count at snack and we count pumpkins when we sing Five Little Pumpkins. Check out our photos below and see if you can find some hidden letters we made with playdough. We also worked on some self portraits this week for our portfolios, the kiddos had a blast exploring this.
We have had soooo much fun with the projector the past few weeks! Check out the photos below from this morning.
What a WONDERFUL week we have had! We played with the projector to make "trees" on the wall with branches and leaves and then moved onto spelling our names on the wall using small letters on the projector. We baked pumpkin treats and played pumpkin games with Miss Kathy. We have been reading a lot of rhyming stories and singing some fall rhyme songs such as "All the leaves are falling down." We also received some mail from one of our old classmates, so we wrote some letters back, filled an envelope with stamps and mailed it from our very own mailbox!
Today, we headed over to NRCCS to work with out P.E. Peers. We played on scooters, bowled and built big block towers. We plan to get our own scooters out soon! Stand by. :] Check out some of the awesome photos below. Wow! This week was so much fun! We baked zucchini bread and learned about dinosaurs and dragging and dropping and dancing (D!) with Miss Kathy. We played put-put and ran through some obstacle courses with the NRCCS friends. We painted and we played! We are starting to focus more on rhyming and practicing our letters (specifically those in each child's name). Check out the fun photos below!
